New This Season!
Wednesdays, June 15 to August 17, 2016
9am-3:30pm (Meeting in Gothic) or 8:30am-4:00pm (Meeting at the CB 4-Way Bus Stop)
We’re looking for motivated and emerging scientists who will be entering grades 6 through 8 in fall of 2016 to serve as interns at RMBL.  As a RMBL Ranger, you’ll ask and test scientific questions while learning about experimental design concepts, data collection techniques, best practice principles in land management, plant and animal identification, as well as blogging and book-making.
All applicants will participate in individualized research projects, write daily blog entries, assist visitors, and by summer’s end (for those that come all summer), present their work in a polished manner to the public through an oral presentation as well as a handmade limited edition book.
This program is designed so that students can attend just one day of the summer, every week of the summer or a handful of Wednesdays.  We will individualize the experience for each student so that he/she will get the most out of the day(s)!
If you would like more detailed information about our new RMBL Ranger program, please contact the RMBL Ranger leader directly, Len Germinara at len@rmbl.org  Len recently moved to Almont, Colorado from Massachusets where he ran an award winning Junior Ranger program each summer for 7 years at the Nantucket Field Station in addition to handling much of the field station’s year round pre K-8th grade programs. Len is also a performance poet and a poetry venue host, and he has shepherded kids of all ages through the process of creating poetry, photography, art, and prose publications.
